crazy_steve78
I've tried some things suggested in other posts but it hasn't worked for me. I'm getting a "insufficient system resources exist.." message. Was hoping someone could take a look at my hijack this log. DreadWingKnight
Where and when are you getting this message?
paintball9
Well I'm not really surprised you have a lot and I mean a LOT of crap running, I can make you a list of programs I recommend you do away with if you want. Also how much ram do you have?
crazy_steve78
I have 1gb of RAM. The message comes up every time uTorrent starts downloading. The files never get more than 2 or 3% complete. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you all very much
DreadWingKnight
Sounds like norton isn't playing nice, just based on what I can see. Comcast's support software may be worth temporarily uninstalling as well.

paintball9
I'd say get rid of the ask and limewire toolbars, they're nothing but bloatware and I notice you had windows installer running, Were you actually installing something? Because if not it shouldn't be there, I've noticed it likes to start randomly on my system as well, not quite sure why. It doesn't actually do anything useful until you try and install a program, it just locks files up. so I just disable the service whenever it gets restarted. But norton is probably your biggest concern there. As for the error, you could be maxing out ram in which case closing down some programs would help (norton especially is a huge memory hog) and a lot of the other loaders and support software doesn't need to be run (skype, java, comcast, swf catcher) I'm guessing that when opening the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc) you will see the physical memory above 85 percent. Best way to get rid of this problem (aside from cleaning house) is to get more ram (if your motherboard supports it)
auxie22
I figured out if you have this issue with a version later than 1.8 the it's to do with your virtual memory. I wasn't using enough. it seems that your system cache wants more virtual memory than norm. or if you have played with the settings set your largest drive to have 1-2gb of virtual memory.
