Tested with "АБВГҐДЂЃЕЁЄЖЗЗ́ЅИІЇЙЈКЛЉМНЊОПРСС́ТЋЌУЎФХЦЧЏШЩЪЫЬЭЮЯӀӘҒҘҪҠҚҢӨҮҰҺꙖѤѦѪѨѬѮѰѲѴѶҀѸѠѾѢ" as a torrent name and indeed observed the same. WebUI backend returns instead as the name:

Unicode support in the WebUI backend appears to be broken in µTorrent v3.4.0. Please open a bug report in the Bug Reports forum Split it myself.

While this ticket is still an open issue, maybe it's the perfect time to just point out that Unicode has actually always been at least partially broken in the WebUI backend. Search the WebUI ticket for the keyword "unicode" for past examples. And it's not just strictly Unicode -- the WebUI backend in general just has had a history of problematic JSON encoding on many strings containing certain classes of characters.

Said several-year-old examples include:

Use TeamViewer/VNC ... ;)

Seriosly??? http://forum.utorrent.com/topic/49588-µtorrent-webui/?p=481750

Then honestly tell that the api is closed, because without Unicode support but completely useless.  ;)

yes, seriously. after 3 years I'd expect you should have learned this lesson, and use other means to achieve your goal... Luckily, there are a few other options available ... :)

The fact that I, literally, a week ago, used 2.2.1 for utorrent 3.x still even download and distribute normally could , and behaved like a lame horse broke :P  Fortunately Unicode now 3.4.x, and 3.3.2 it still works. That's the only problem is that even 3.3.2 can not download properly.

While my hopes are based only on the fact that the team decided to finally change the plan to release a more adequate, and moved to a single code base. In principle, if a couple of three months, the client will enter the real stability of features to support their stay and will be, well,no - sorry of course, but there are alternatives to the benefit.

Yes, it is. In fact, I find it hard to articulate their thoughts in English, as it is now it is very rarely needed. However, I read very simple. I understand your justified irony  :)

But please understand, and my, it's not working for Unicode support is truly sad. Although if you look at the Pebble, which entered the market in 2013 with the support of only ansi, and without any support unicode... it is more like a "warm - tube" memories (a reference to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tube_sound ).

Just don't confuse "interesting" with important... Let them fix those first: ... :P

Yes, it is most important that the developers know about this issue. In fact, even with the coding error is not very interesting ... the most important thing to find her now! :) Because usually such errors is unremarkable assumption which is not visible until the full test.
