hexanol
Hi Folks,Selection of a Magnet Link on a Torrent Site will no longer automatically add the torrent to my uTorrent client. It used to, but now does not.It used to be that when I went to a site like KAT or PB and found a torrent of interest, if I clicked on the magnet link, the torrent would appear in my uTorrent. Now, when I click on the magnet link, nothing happens. What has changed??How can I make it do what it used to do?Thanks for your time.
DreadWingKnight
Probably something in your browser's associations. Remove and re-create them.
hexanol
In case anyone else has this issue, thanks to the above clue, here's the fix: uTorrent needed to have its File Association linked to Comodo Dragon. 1) In uTorrent, make sure the "Preferences>General>"When Downloading" section has the "Append .!ut to incomplete files" is checked 2) Start Button>Default Programs>Associate a file Type with a Protocol or Program. 3) Find “.!ut” and create an association with Comodo Dragon. rafi
You sure? I thought you need to do that for .torrent files, not .ut , and associate with uTorrent, not the browser...

DoneThat makes no sense why do you need to associate to Utorrent files for? Comodo dragon is a Browser problem and has nothing to do with utorrent. hexanol
Sorry for the late response. But, in case it can be of any use to anyone else: yes, I'm sure. That's all I did and afterwards, the problem was magically fixed. That's all I know. I can't respond with any technical justification. It was all done empirically.
