  1. It means you get numbers instead of High, Normal, Low. A fuller explanation is in the User Manual
  2. Who else is in your collective 'We'? 'cause there is at least two that are not.
  3. Move the entire folder to where you prefer it be so it becomes an "encapsulated installation".
  4. Windows Explorer does not "move" files between directories, it simply changes the pointers to the file in the file allocation table for FAT32 or the Master File Table and index for NTFS. When uTorrent relocates a torrent it has to reconstruct the pieces one by one.
  5. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=11601 http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=721470#p721470 Penultimate item in the list.
  6. Wrong again, so stop making silly assumptions please. Before I gave up being a wage slave I was the who was prepared to say what everyone else was thinking, my immediate boss stated that they were never in doubt what I thought in meetings because "I treated everybody with the same disrepect". Sure if you were in a discussion regarding the design or specification directly, but you are not. uTorrent design and development is NOT a democratic process, things will ONLY change if, and when bitTorrent management decide. Change on this will not be effected with rhetoric, only rebellion, And, please if you are going to misquote me, try to get closer to what I said, which was. That is making a choice, not giving up.
  7. Well, I can assure you that I am neither an apologist for anyone or 'angry' about anything, least of all a bittorrent client that I have no control over or people that I do not know or care about. I simply 'speak my mind' and if others cannot handle it, that is not really my problem. I maintain the opinion of there being two knds of problems: Some that can be fixed and some that can't and neither should become an issue. You simply fix the ones you can and don't worry about the others. For this instance problems with a BitTorrent client are easily fixed by using a different one, and in that respect that probably DOES make me smarter, because I don't waste my time complaining about things that I have no control over, I make the smart choice of using something different that is without those attendant problems.
  8. Nope I have no involvement at all, but instead of complaining, which will make no difference to the people who make the decisions, stop using the client, because that is the only action that will drive the message of disatisfaction home.
  9. Nope, just puzzled, If it was something that somebody spent all day using or looking at I could understand it, but it isn't. The GUI is simply a easy way to configure the bit that does the work. If you use RSS feeds you may never need to even look at the GUI from one day to the next, I've been at my PC most of today coding a .net app and I've not looked a either Bittorrent client I have running, once. Also why is it that people take forum posts as being personal?? I don't know you, you don't know me, so neither one of us is of any importance in the life of the other, so how is it that putting heavy emphasis on a few words that are there for one and all to read, "shouting" at you in particular??
  10. I'm failing to see why you have this huge chip on your collective shoulders about in client advertising. BitTorrent as a company have the right to create an "income stream" from wherever they wish and the piffle about the company accounts is misleading. The BitTorrent and uTorrent clients are NOT the only products that are bringing in revenue to BitTorrent Inc NEITHER are they the only products that need to be supported from that revenue. As I've said before, you are not 'married' to one particular client, if you don't like what is happening, CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT ONE.
  11. Well I don't see any difference in width of the sidebar when it is at minimum width. and comparing a screen shot I have it looks more like it is the left side status bar panel that has moved and is making it appear that the sidebar has reduced in minimum width. http://ciaobaby.info/screenshots/utorrent/3.3.0/phantom-job.jpg is a unscaled screen shot (taken at 1280x1024) of ver 3.3.0.29544 for comparison.
  12. Yep' date=' that's enough for me to say "no" to updating. Thanks for the heads up.[/quote'] Because of an extra 20pixels (possibly) in a panel that is actually "draggable" to adjust it's width in any case??
  13. Maybe there are none, and it was released with no changes at all. (Yeah right I know, not likely to happen, EVER) But yes I stand corrected, no changelog reported for build 29756. And I humbly appologise to the assembled masses.
  14. Read the first post in THIS THREAD!
  15. 3.4 may have some way to go to even reach beta. I loaded up a magnet yesterday with a 4MB payload, qBit........ downloaded it to completion in 4m 36s, uTorrent 3.4.29741 hasn't even got the metadata 16 hours later. The jobs were not running simultaneously, so peers had to be found on the Internet for both clients.
  16. That's because, in a list view control, a list item does NOT receive focus until actually selected (not the same as simply being highlighted), that's a "Windows thing" not a uTorrent thing.
  17. And is 8080 the port you set for the WEB UI to listen on?
  18. It may have been released but it has not yet made it to the delivery system. 29594 is STILL the latest build there.
  19. They are not called "background processes" because nobody could come up with a better name you know!
  20. No it's necessity. You cannot simply abandon a process that may be writing data fom cache to disc and expect it not to corrupt the data already on the disc, or would you prefer that the WHOLE of the data that is already downloaded, was deleted and the download start from scratch again?
  21. It takes TIME for it to close all processes, the systray icon going does NOT mean it has closed everything, YOU have to wait until it completes the close down operations.
  22. Shut uTorrent down cleanly and it will not need to run rechecking at startup.
