And it's really better to have the read cache off. Unless you got >1GB of RAM or something. :/

Thankfully the addition of PE should take care of most of those issues.
At least when both Azureus and µTorrent release a stable build. -
Because it can have potential issues and takes a lot longer to ramp up because not that many people have µTorrent beta 411. You should probably not use it until the stable release unless you're explicitly testing it, or are getting throttled...

That's probably because it has to re-establish the connections, and fails the encrypted handshake with most of the clients (so you get less transfer), so it takes longer to ramp up since it has to try again after failing.

Azureus doesn't have it in a released beta yet, but it's in the CVS. The one in the current beta is the old MSE spec they made.
Yes, it's better, it's not (easily?) detectable like BC, closed, and it's also fast. Also lets you encrypt all the data instead of the headers.

Yes, unless you specifically set it to "Force Legacy Mode", or turn off "Allow legacy incoming connections", it will always accept encrypted connections (full or handshake, doesn't matter)

geezer: you should only enable it if you're explicitly testing it, else you're gonna get a lot of overhead increase. And neither of the modes can be spotted at the moment, I think...
skynetman: it's a beta, PHE is ONLY FOR TESTING right now. In any case, it may be better to NOT have it on by default. Technically you don't have to turn it on to be useful, because Disabled mode always accepts incoming encrypted connections (unless you turn off accept legacy incoming connections). The control only chooses how YOUR client handles your outgoing connections, not incoming (except Force Legacy, which disables it altogether)
And PEX was turned off by default by mistake. It should be allowed to disable it because you may not want the overhead associated with it, or any other number of reasons. Just like letting you turn off DHT.

private flag disables PEX and DHT, which is the same behavior that Az and BC have.

Newest features are Protocol Encryption (compatible with Azureus), a read cache, long path support, and peer exchange! Test it out and help make sure it works right.

Beta 407 is supposed to be kept to IRC only because ludde asked the testers to, and it's potentially unstable and might not work right. Many of the new features aren't fully finalized.

net.low_cpu doesn't increase memory use, it increases CPU use by a very slight amount

No, it needs to show UPnP(xxxxx) OK for it to be equivalent to network OK. Right now all it means is that it mapped the port and it worked; it doesn't mean that incoming connections are working yet.
