Well, ludde is raising the cap to 6*, to not screw over most of the 256/64 users, and still harm the leechers.
-
The next version should raise the cap so that 256/64 users don't get affected

Napster uses P2P technology to distribute the music files, so THEY can save money (and not pass along the savings to you)
-
I'll add it to the list, thanks. And ludde's starting his work on a good PHE implementation (and other methods to bypass shaping), which will hopefully be developed in tandem with the Azureus devs.

Really spymaster? That's odd... I tried it right now and nothing happened. :/

Delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old from %AppData%\uTorrent

1-5 kilobytes (kibibytes)
It's the global upload cap only. For your upload, you should cap it to a reasonable amount (22-23 is a good value to start with). Feel free to adjust your # of connections to find a good amount too.
And finding a ton of peers doesn't really matter once you reach a certain amount.
µT has a less abusive multi-tracker implementation than BC (and yes BC's is abusive, as well as that ignoring the update interval specified by the tracker), it checks all tiers, but only one tracker per tier on each announce interval. You can see which ones are in a different tier by seeing which ones have an empty newline between them.
And uh, I guess it's because of a lack of peer exchange that explains why BC gets more peers.

µTorrent doesn't cap the download for any upload caps except 1-5 KiB/s
-
Hmm... no idea what could be causing this. I'll point ludde to this thread.
-
You sure you turned it on?
-
It's always been for downloads only.

tofu is for wrt54g, thibor is for wrt54gs, dd-wrt can be for either. tofu12 doesn't NEED it, but you may get better performance if you do it anyway.
-
Yes, it re-uses the last used directory. Just turn off "Put new downloads in"
-
And the FAQ is updated.
miocor: it supports Windows 95 too.
-
Probably not, no. What may get implemented is cache header support, since the feeds specify the update interval sometimes.

It's already been fixed for the next beta.

latest is build 398

I think there's gonna be 1 or 2 more, there was a few last minute bugs discovered. And then, 1.4.
-
No, you can't get it to format them. Almost all of my "scene" releases have periods, it seems to be the usenet standard. I've gotten used to it personally.
-
That's because mininova links to the details page with the feed. They hid the .torrent links in the comments, and µTorrent doesn't support that. probably won't for the 1.4 release either, maybe later.
µTorrent 1.4 released.

THE LIMITER ONLY APPLIES TO UPLOAD CAPS OF 1-5 KB/S. Anything else you see is a result of either a) your ISP your settings or c) the peers in the swarm
