Jordan_Q
Hi all, this is my first time using a torrent client. I read that this is one of the good torrent clients out there, so I've decided to have a try at it. Only question I have now is what is the difference between the standalone download, the installation program and the UseNext download? Please help. Thanks
ffjason
UseNext costs - stay away. The install program is the same as the standalone but will install it for you. The standalone is a single .exe which you run to run the program. The install will probs add shortcuts (i've never used it) where as the .exe ask's if you want it to put shortcuts when you first run it.Does that clear things up? Jordan_Q
I see, but why is the installation program file so much bigger than the standalone one? The shortcuts requires so much more kb?
DreadWingKnight
The installer system and translation package require the space, not the shortcuts.
Firon
The langpack adds a chunk of size, and NSIS itself is ~40KB of overhead.
billgates12
question, which one is better standalone or installing one. please reply.
µtorrent-Guest
assuming from your nick I suggest you would prefer the bloated installing one technicly the programm is the same in both flavours.
