NYCLou
Hi everyone! new guy here. I gotta say, this program is a godsend. helped me out a lot.anyway, I was wondering... if I were to shut down the program for the night and I were to boot it back up the next day, does it resume what it was doing the night before? Switeck
You may lose a couple percent from an incomplete download because µTorrent loses incomplete pieces when it closes. ...And if the torrent has 4 MB piece size, then there's a high chance of losing a LOT of data when you close. NYCLou
So if it's over a gig, I guess the best bet is to leave the computer on overnight then?

NYCLou
Conflicting messages... wonderful! :/ I guess I'll have to take a gamble and leave the program on when I turn in for the night.
torrero
It resumes. My PC is only running a few hours per day, so large torrents take a few days for me.
µtorrent-Guest
you will loose the partly downlaoded pieces only if your try a force recheck on the next morning. If you just continue downloading, nothing you will loose. (per default µT writes out unfinished pieces every 2 minutes to disk)
