Vista SP1

Just after the installation of Vista SP1 everytime that I run utorrent the system crash after 5 minutes.

Before the installation of SP1 I never had problem with utorrent.

There is already a solution for this?

Vista SP1 may have a much lower max half open limit.

I'm running on Vista SP1 without any problems (my half open connections is still set to the default 8). What version of uTorrent are you using? I've been able to run 1.7.7 and 1.8beta without any problems. Currently 1.8beta has been running for 204.5 hours straight without any problems.

And I have exactly the same problem with BitTorrent 6.0.3.

Considering they use the same code, that's not entirely unexpected.

IIRC, there was no cause found in uT.... skimming "Vista SP1" search results didn't provide any common links... common procedures apply. Read through http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 and provide logfiles and current settings please?

Just to be sure that the problem is due to the Vista SP1 installation I have unistalled SP1 and used uTorrent and other p2p programs for few days. The situation is come back to normality and I can use uTorrent without any problem.

I have reinstalled SP1 and BSOD problem is come back. (with uTorrent and also with eMule)

"DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" screams bad driver files. You using USB to connect to the internet or wireless? (A wireless USB network card would be the worst I guess.)

Nero's indexing service can cause uTorrent problems if Nero locks your torrent files for its personal use only WHILE uTorrent is trying to read/write them!
