Magedodo
I just installed utorrent 1.7.7. It was working OK (Port forward test was OK) until I started my first torrent download, where it freezed. I have to END the Program. Now every time I start the utorrent it freezes - no response. I have system mechanic 7 professional, it's licensed and I don't want to loose it. I sent this problem to them but no response. I did every thing possible (Exclude utorrent, allow port, shut down fire wall, ... etc.) Can anybody help me! DreadWingKnight
Does the problem persist with system mechanic uninstalled?
Magedodo
I didn't uninstall it yet. Is there anyway else than uninstalling system mechanic??
DreadWingKnight
To test this? not likely. If it is the problem then we have a big can of worms on our hands.
jewelisheaven
Well unfortunately iolo has been fingered as the cause of some problems previously here :/ Indeed the only way to rule out possible incompatibilities is by removing them from the system, which in this case includes alot of running services and system hooks. Firon
Their firewall is the problem, yes.
Magedodo
The only solution I found to keep my firewall is to install Win 98 on another HDD and run utorrent on this system. It worked perfectly . Ofcourse I have to disable winXP drive everytime I log to win 98 from setup.
Firon
Why don't you switch to a less buggy firewall instead?
