Why such a huge difference in download speeds ? Lord Alderaan Posted June 2, 2008 Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 I have seen a single seed uploading at 19 mb/s (Yes, that is ± 19.000 kb/s!!).Everybody has a different upstream and everybody spreads it over a different amount of upload slots. I think I'll stop trying to figure the speed thing out since i just hooked my router up WITHOUT forwarding the port and am still getting my connection maxed out from the "Open Office" test site .....???? Switeck Posted June 3, 2008 Report Share Posted June 3, 2008 And OpenOffice test may only tell if your ISP throttles BT DOWNLOAD speeds...numerous ISPs that throttle BT upload speeds can pass that with flying colors. ...Likewise, you can use pretty crappy settings in uTorrent and STILL get decent to great speeds on the OpenOffice test.
