coolguns Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I'm new to this. I've done a search, found a file I want but nothin happens. Everything I select goes into the inactive list. I try to force it to start but nothin happens. I've turned of my AV and firewalls to no effect. So far my utorrent experience is less than satisfactory. Whats the friggin secret to getting this thing to work?????
DreadWingKnight Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 Don't force start any torrents for one.Next, find out WHY the torrents are getting flagged inactive.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=34259
coolguns Posted July 13, 2008 Author Report Posted July 13, 2008 JESUS CHRIST. This shit is way over my head. Sorry I asked. This software is going to the recylce bin as a big fkn waste of time. Thanks for the reply anyway.(why it can't set itself up seems antiquated, it is the 21st century afterall and this is a fkn computer!!!)
DreadWingKnight Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 You're just too used to having everything handed to you on a silver platter.
Switeck Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 With power comes complexity.A simpler/weaker program might be easier to use...but if your ISP is throttling/blocking BitTorrent traffic, you're screwed!
jewelisheaven Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 ... Should have pointed to the guides page first. and maybe some background on bittorrent and torrenting too. ( http://dessent.net/btfaq/#what )
