bewolff
If I am seeding a file, how can I choose a specific IP address of someone downloading (who I know), in order to maximize availability to them. I want to use Utorrent to transfer a large file trans-continentally.
DreadWingKnight
Such micromanagement doesn't actually help with speeds.Friend-based prioritization of upload causes more problems than it solves.
moogly
I dunno the size of your file to share but if it's just for 2 or 3 persons, use a free file hoster: split your file with Winrar or HJsplit and host parts then share the links. It will be easier, more private and faster.
Switeck
Or make a private torrent and only give them the link/s.
Lord Alderaan
Or make a trackless torrent and use Add Peer in the r-click context menu of the peers tab.
