Long time utorrent user here and very happy with the software. My utorrent is usually running all day seeding torrents and I just notice that it was this app that was causing all my frustration. So for 3 weeks, the left click doesn't respond sometime, and sometimes 1 click it will interperate as double click. Couldn't hightlight or drag anything because it kept losing response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling new drivers and it still didn't work. Finally today I was working on a project and I noticed my mouse was working smoothly with no glitches, so i checked for changes and noticed utorrent was shut off.

I could just d/l stuff then turn it off and not seed, but i dont want to be leecher. I was ready to dump this mouse in the trash and buy a new one thinking that it completely broke.

Is there anyway to fix this issue?

1.8 is unsupported. Sounds like your computer is lagging somewhere, try watching task manager and disk statistics.

What do you mean unsupported? It automatically updated to the new version by itself. I cant remember which previous version i had but i had no issues with it before.

What am I looking for in the task manager? I dont see anything lagging.

Using any other USB devices on the same root hub or any hubs connected to the computer? What Internet security software are you running? On task man your looking for a process using a lot of CPU or the System Idle Process being very low. Also check disk statistics (an option on the speed tab), to see how the cache is writing out, especially if mouse lag corresponds to write cache dropping/writing to disk.

No hubs, it is plugged straight into the motherboard. I'm running AVG internet security and my system idle 98-99 at the moment.

Stop the Logitech software running... it's hooking into uT. If you're noticing a correlation to symptoms, removing the factors one by one helps find the cause. Correlation is not causation.

yep, same problem here. mouse is unresponsive every other second when uTorrent is running. just zagging the mouse across the screen, with only uT running, every other second it will go to very short zags, and then resume into the long sweeping zags that should be occuring--and then back again--every other second. left clicking on something can take as many as 3 clicks (which is the duration of the unresponsiveness).

this is not system lag. q9450, 5770, ssd sys drive, no system lag. just mouse lag/unresponsiveness. keyboard can scroll a webpage with zero lag, completely responsive, but scrolling with the mouse wheel is quite unresponsive every other second.

i dont know if you can understand how much of a frustration this is. this isnt like every hour. its every other second.

wowza! just found a new issue. just started streaming playon to my ps3, and the same issue is occurring while uT is OFF! wonder if its my wireless card or the driver for it. any suggestions other than those 2 things?

This mouse issue originates strictly on Logitech drivers. It is not new, not for me with uTorrente but with Microsoft Outlook and Firefox, the latest if without Logitech's smooth scroll app. You can download this scroll app. from your mouse software download page.

Don't look further, just go to the mouse control settings, click on Mouse Game Settings (tower icon), and on the right side chose the SetPoint Implementation radio button and check the case Retain OS Settings. This solves the issue with most programs, but not all. To solve all, if you still have more issues left, you will have to check the OS Implementation case instead of SetPoint Implementation which means giving up Logitech settings.
