Disk Overload

Go to Preferences - Advanced - Disk cache. You just have to change the value at "Override the automatic disk cache..." to 256 MB (I modified it from 32 to 256) and now it works perfectly, at maximum speed, without the Disk overloaded warning and the lousy 1-2 mb/s speed cap. Now it runs at at 10.5 - 11 mb/s, which is my maximum dl speed.

That was unchecked in my options. I checked it and changed it from 32 to 256 and now it's working great. So thanks for this solution.

And all this time, years actually, this has been in my tips-guide/sig and settings.dat example file that is in there...

Can any of your check the speed-tab - > cache statistics tab, to see if when overload occurs - if the cache size limit is being broken, and if does not go right back under the limit ? Screenshots?

Also - can you note if you see "L" for local peers on your status bar when this happens?

try changing tab from files to anything else log or diagram for instance

files tab seems to cauze lots of reads
