Mugsy323
Forgive me if this has been reported already, but I had a download that had been stuck on 87% for weeks, so I found another copy of the same file (only larger) elsewhere. The filename in both torrents was exactly the same. When the newer torrent completed, the completed file was nowhere to be found. I checked and the older torrent's data and it was likewise MIA.The files were not duplicates. Only their names were identical.I ended up deleting both torrents (+data) and am currently downloading the newer version all over again.I'm using build 3.3 with 64bit Win7 Home. Mugsy323
"Poison the jobs"? WTF?All I did was download another version of the same video that was given the exact same filename. How is that "poisoning the job"?
DreadWingKnight
"exact same filename" isn't the same as "exact same file"
Mugsy323
I guess when I wrote:The files were not duplicates. Only their names were identical. That wasn't specific enough.

I just didn't realize both files had the same name until it was too late. But it DIDN'T simply "overwrite" the older file. BOTH files were lost!I think that qualifies as a "bug" that needs fixing. DreadWingKnight
Considering what YOU did, the only bug is pebkac.
Mugsy323
Considering what YOU did, the only bug is pebkac. So µTorrent destroying BOTH files just because they had the same filename is somehow MY fault?Hose off, Tool. You're not helping.
DreadWingKnight
You chose to download two different torrents to an identical location, not me.
