utorrent won't reach full bandwidth

Hey Guys,

I've been banging my head what's the problem here, if any.

I'm from Israel, ISP is 013 Netvision.

Line: 15MB dl (1.87mb) / around 700\800k ul

They are not blocking any ports.

Eveything is configured, but! :)

I'm downloading some new popular torrent, like Game of thrones latest,

and for some reason the client only shows the max download as 1.0MB.

As you know, I'm lacking around 700k to my download rate.

I've been googling and searching the forum,

since I have no idea where do i upload my images to,

here's some in my dropbox:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/b0cfcvq2dp1dmxh/Bandwidth.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3udcieq33rkxd94/Bittorrent.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fpxhhgkrlr0o2ar/Connection.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/i9dvzkd8t20uo7w/NetMaxHalfopen.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/le4jkor7ccfwqz7/Queuing.png

I've also tried enabling the "random each port", enable upnp & nat-pmp ports, it remains the same.

Additionally, I've used the "speed guide" to recommand me on a settings, which again - remain up to 1.0MB or 1.1MB top.

My questions:

1. emm...what? :) why don't i get to my full bandwidth?

2. Maybe in advanced settings I am missing something? (any way to export this? )

2.b If you want to ask about a setting there, please (in order not to waste your precious time chasing ghosts) ask away in the same post, and not one by one.

I'd be happy to provide.

Been downloading 5 different torrentz, all resulted the same speed limit (and as you can see neither do I limit my upload, or if i do it's to 70% or so. still experimenting).

Any leads would be of help,

I will just ask "where does utorrent store it's preferences" to back it up if needed.

Thanks a lot!

Guy

emm, no. First time I hear about slackware.

A client? torrent site?

Can you please specify what do i need to check there?

About halfopen - I have no idea what it affects on.

How much should it be?

Thanks

Edit: Forgot to add: Running win7 Ultimate N 32bit SP1

Guess I stumbled over a troll here.

I'll put it in other words, oh dear-bittorrent-master-you:

ARE - MY - SETTINGS - CONFIGURED - WELL ENOUGH?

Now,

Personal charm is not something you can be proud of so I'll wait for an answer from a more reliable person.

Like DreadWingKnight.

Who knows?? Nobody else has your exact setup to test them on.

I guess you need to know what a 'troll' is first.

In reality it is you that is "trolling" by offering the first insulting remark, I merely overestimated your comprehension of bandwith and what actually affects it.

Pardons, Ciao, but taking your first reply "Because YOUR bandwidth is NOT the defining factor for download rates" did not add any value to my question, as well as your second.

I don't think utorrent is some sort of exact science, giving settings you already know should give me at least an honest answer if my side's properly configured.

We both know I can't control the peers. But I can control my end, and that's still the main question.

P.S - take a look at what Knight wrote: halfopen count is way too high.

so maybe no one has my exact setup, but at least we know what's "wrong" here.

Rafi,

I will,

For now it seems like my settings reached a "peak" of 1.5 so i'm pretty much content with it (1.5\1.8 is very good IMO).

But I will use yours, and get back with the findings.

Toda gever :)

Rafi,

I will,

I've lowered my halfopen count to 100.

For some routers 50 half open connections could be too many.

Other applications on the machine can affect speed

Other devices on the SAME network ie: In your house.

but it's very simple, the defining factor for speeds both up OR down is, HOW fast the connected peers will send or take pieces.
