I see in my logger tab the following line twice:

Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.

is this normal?

Logger tab:

1. Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.

2.ID

I think more he's wondering why it displays twice, a bit redundant.

I have my settings.dat and utorrent.exe in the same folder (C:\Program Files\uTorrent) and they do not exist anywhere else.

I have checked all utorrent paths (%AppData%\uTorrent - empty)

But still get twice: Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.

I get it too, that's why I wrote it's redundant.

Not that it does any harm, just a bit waste.

If this is 3.4.0.nnnnn

Check the registry hives at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\

To see if there is TWO keys for uTorrent.

For me it has done that like forever, all v3 versions I believe.

I've never seen it appear in the log more than once, even going back to V1 clients.

3.4 is in the default location

3.3.2. is installed in "Program Files"

Now that they changed 3.3+ to be copied to the default location (with the settings) - it probably do some checking before and after testing for copying and prints twice...
