Wirk Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 I see in my logger tab the following line twice:Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.is this normal?Logger tab:1. Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.2.ID3.Memory4.Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.5. Ip6.Ipfilter
ciaobaby Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 Read the uTorrent Owners Manual it tells you all sbout such things.
Andreasvb Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 I think more he's wondering why it displays twice, a bit redundant.
Wirk Posted December 28, 2013 Author Report Posted December 28, 2013 I have my settings.dat and utorrent.exe in the same folder (C:\Program Files\uTorrent) and they do not exist anywhere else.I have checked all utorrent paths (%AppData%\uTorrent - empty)But still get twice: Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.
Andreasvb Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 I get it too, that's why I wrote it's redundant. Not that it does any harm, just a bit waste.
ciaobaby Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 But still get twice: Settings file found in directory of executable; using that.Okay, in what version and build is this?
ciaobaby Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 If this is 3.4.0.nnnnnCheck the registry hives at:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ To see if there is TWO keys for uTorrent.
Andreasvb Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 For me it has done that like forever, all v3 versions I believe.
ciaobaby Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 I've never seen it appear in the log more than once, even going back to V1 clients.

rafi Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 Now that they changed 3.3+ to be copied to the default location (with the settings) - it probably do some checking before and after testing for copying and prints twice... Not that important...
