I got the impression 3.3 or greater are blocked, not previous versions.

What version are you running? A "bug" like that was supposed to have been fixed in 3.5.0.44010 beta.

I see the flags anwyay (without flags.bmp & flags.conf).

And possibly updated again: 120 KB (122,880 bytes) - 622byte increase than yours.

So 18 months of this thread, there's 12 pages regarding people likes regarding uT 2.x. naiduv, just curious to know if and how these opinions have been taken on-board to influence uTorrent's development?

Apart from new features, I've seen it mentioned that there are security issues with older versions. But no-one seems to say what these security issues actually are...

I'd be surprised. Most times uTorrent wants to do an upgrade. Just occasionally, I see an install location option.

Previous version: 3.3.2.30488. I downloaded uTorrent manually from here... http://download-lb.utorrent.com/endpoint/utorrent/os/windows/track/stable ...then ran the installer.
