Using 'Forced' bypasses Queue settings, Scheduler settings, Bandwith settings, Transfer capping, Seeding goals etc.
-
Option to remove the twitter and facebook icons from the status bar needs to be added. :/
Click through once and they go away.
-
Torrents, stopped by scheduler (but downloaded and uploaded without), can't be "stopped". Only "forced" can be.
Fix your queue settings then.
-
ALSO:
Set the Windows swap file to a fixed size (~1.5 times real memory with a maximun of 4GB for 32bit Windows)
-
Reduce the cache size.
-
how do i go back to the stable without losing everything?
Keep the .dat files and the .torrent files if they are in that directory.
-
Yep.

First post, this thread
--2013-03-14: Version 3.4 (build 29336)- Change: Faster download of magnet link data
- Fix: top crash in previous build
-
Done a clean install.
Setup a 'portable' version.
Tested on two different machine.
All with the same results.
-
The 'use-case' is VERY well defined.
Try deleting data for a job that hasn't been started in 3.3.1 build 29163 OR build 29213.
AND if you want to have a look at the crash dumps there are FOUR available at http://ciaobaby.info/utorrent/crash-dumps/ for viewing.
-
It does NOT matter what the file type is, the client crashes because it is trying to delete a file that does NOT PHYSICALLY EXIST.
The only "bad settings" that cause it to happen are from a programmer thinking "No idiot will ever try and delete data that hasn't been downloaded yet".
-
Cannot see any of this. I guess there is not enough info here to reproduce it
It's simple enough to reproduce. Load a magnet or a ,torrent that has very few few peers and remove the job, .torrent and data, BEFORE any data is downloaded.
I'll even provide an empty download for testing with, http://ciaobaby.info/utorrent/sb-test.torrent

Which Temp folder?
type %temp% into the Run.. dialogue.
-
How do I do that?
There is a forum category entitled "Feature Requests" and by placing your mouse cursor over "Community" you will discover the "Idea Bank".
-
The "Add torrent" dialogue is an independent window NOT a child window of the GUI.
-
'Stickied' thread in the Plus section.

Read the title - follow the instruction.
-
and the client version and build is ....????
-
Minimizing uTorrent (to the system tray) does not hide the add torrent dialog box.
It never has???
-
3.3 is not offering updates to the new beta (3.3.1).
Updates are staggered to avoid overloading the servers
-
You can of course put in a feature request which may make it's way into a future build.
-
Setting queue number:
Right click on the job select 'Move up' or 'Move down' from the context menu.
Set first or last in queue: Hold down the shift key while performing the above.
From the Add dialogue no, but just add the job then use the above method, it will of course waste an extra, what?? Maybe 5 or 7 seconds.
-
There already is.A suggestion for this UI:Can there be a way of setting queue number
Even an option to place at top of queue when opening a new torrent would be nice than having to click many times the up arrow.
There already is this as well.

What is it about using FORCE that you DO NOT UNDERSTAND??????????????????
Read the next bit CAREFULLY and try to comprehend it!
But if it is stopped by the scheduler it is therefore STOPPED and "Stopped" on the context menu will NOT BE AVAILABLE (as in "gre[a]yed out"), you cannot "stop" something that is already "stopped".
Using 'force' will override the scheduler stop, because that is what it does. Therefore after starting the job in 'Forced mode' the scheduler STOP is no longer in force and "Stop" will once again be available in the context menu.
There is NOTHING wrong with what the client is allowing you to do, or NOT to do as the case maybe, just your comprehension of it!!!
