splintax
1. Fix your image, why is there all that white space there?2. We don't need nor want to know what you are downloading. You should blur out the file name columns.3. You have a NAT Error. Visit this page to learn what the problem is and go to portforward.com for some help solving it. Keloran
i would love a 54mb line, but i guess ill have to stick to reality and use my 24mb line
chaosblade
Im pretty sure he's misguided about the 54mb figure. Isnt that the hardware limit of something ? Cant recall exactly, USB2 \ Wireless ?
Animorc
Wireless is(was) limited to 54Mbps, but that limit was overridden in some way I don't understand. USB2 is 480mbps IIRC.54mbps sounds awfully slow though. Like an old 56kbps modem.Edit: Sorry. Even slower than a 56kbps modem.
ScubaSteve
when he said 54Mbs he probably was just confused with the speed of his wifi router.

part
Hello, I am trying to fix it now but when I set my static IP in the connection panel my internet doesn't work, my computer is connected to the home network plan with my father, his computer uses a westell 327w router and he has bellsouth internet. My laptop connects via wifi, I did the cmd, check my settings and my ip is 192.168.number.3 more numbers.I think I am doing something wrong but so far no luck, my wifi card picks up other secured networks and all of them show up when I do cmd command. Animorc
It can't get easier than this:http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Westell/Versalink327W/Utorrent.htmA specific guide for µTorrent. They spelled it wrongly though
part
Okay, I found my static IP and logged into my user info, I cannot get into the router yet but I did find a section that says NAT gaming and it list games and services like xbox live...blah..blah.Of course I don't see Utorrent there but what do I do to create the ports? Animorc
What did you set the static IP to? It needs to be within the same subdomain as the router (which is set to 192.168.1.1 by default, so you will need an address in the 192.168.1.x range, where x should be between 2 and 49)
part
my static ip is 192.168.1.25*I got the NAT section and I configured the port that utorrent uses which is 7274, downloading at 20.6 now, went up a little bit.
Animorc
There's no need for hiding internal IP-addresses since they can't be reached from external ones without port triggering/forwarding. But as it seems to work now, it's probably fine. (I would recommend that you set the last number of the IP to something between 2 and 50 since the router DHCP usually gives out numbers above 50 (and mostly above 100 as well).I still can't seem to figure out what bandwidth you have got. Would you please tell us if you know that?
part
192.168.1.254 is my static ip....still isn't working, I didn't change the ip in the network connections, it's on automatically find my
part
I can't find the proper ip address to work in the view network connections box, when I go to cmd and change the ip address the internet doesn't work, but when I type 192.168.1.254 which is what my cmd says is my static ip address I can configured the nat but the speeds are still very slow and not working right. part
okay according to that my ip address is 192.168.1.97 and another ip address shows up that's fe80:20a
Firon
192.168.1.97 is the one you should forward to then. Your router might need a reboot afterwards, and you have to restart µTorrent for NAT error to go away I think.fe80:20a... is an IPv6 style address, you can ignore it. part
okay, I enabled the service in my NAT, i selected port 7274 since that's the one that utorrent uses by default, I made my static ip 192.168.1.97, no change, I still did something wrong, the torrect stopped. chaosblade
Are you sure you set your machine to use that static ip AND forwarded the ports from THAT ip to the router's IP on that specific port?
