Firewave
Since I updated to 1.7.6 (could also be a 1.7.5 issue) my machine randomly reboots when I leave it running for a few hours. Machine is running stable when no uTorrent is running. I am running Windows XP x64.
Firon
Turn off automatic reboots for BSODs.
DreadWingKnight
What happens when you disable automatic restarts on system failure?
jewelisheaven
Turn off "automatically reboot" when crashdumps are made, so you can get the BSOD message please
Firewave
Well, I got the minidumps from the crashes. I can load them in the debugger and give you necessary information.Hmm...funny...the application, that actually crashed was eMule. Having no trouble running it also for 2 days now. Machine does crash after running uToorent 1.7.5/1.7.6 along with it after a few hours.
Ultima
Would still be nice to see that BSOD error message
jewelisheaven
And if those dumps say anything useful to you perhaps reporting the error the the emule development/support staff would be prudent?
Firewave
They don't say anything useful and it's not an eMule issue as the machine is stable with just running eMule and uTorrent 1.7.4. I don't have much time on my hands, so I can't investigate this problem anymore for about a month.
Firon
If your machine is randomly rebooting, it's not stable. µTorrent isn't the root cause of the crash, something else is.
jewelisheaven
If you get the BSOD message it becomes orders of magnitude easier to troubleshoot. If any part of eMule hooks into uT, I can envision both crashing after eMule does, but that that process causes a reboot has me concerned.
