GTHK
On the router, on some status page or something, what's your gateway address for WAN or Internet status? And did you use the port forward tester for testing?
lchi
why do you need my WAN address?and yes i did use the port tester and it said the port is not open.
GTHK
WAN gateway address of the router, and to check if you have a proper address. I can't use the gateway to connect to your computer so I ask for that instead of saying "the first two fields of your WAN IP address", which would also work. jewelisheaven
WE don't need it.. YOU need it to know whether you're behind more NAT, which essentially makes this moot. If your WAN IP is not the same IP you get say from http://canyouseeme.org and instead is a reserved PRIVATE IP like 10.x.x.x 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x or 192.168.x.x then indeed you must either rely on your network admin enabling UPnP/NAT-PMP or suffer through. lchi
I own the router. Screenshots attached. This is exactly what portforward.com says to do for my router. however, the portforward info for my router is using the previous firmware. GTHK
TCP and UDP, forward only your listening port to your listening port, not all the portrs, retest your connection and make sure you set your connection type according to the upload limit, and I still want the first half of your WAN address. Also, red circle? Get the two logs mentioned at the bottom of this thread: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992
lchi
my computer is local at 192.168.1.4router is at 192.168.1.1do u want my external ip?
jewelisheaven
GTHK said it... first half meaning first two octets. I would like to make sure the WAN IP matches your external IP according to canyouseeme.According to the picture as long as you're testing from your computer jason-laptop (1.4) on port 6112 it should be green barring other problems with http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software (which the logfiles pasted below should help resolve) ... You should also create a rule for UDP on your PORT if you plan to use DHT.It's possible you may try putting your IP above 150 ... that's the default place most router DHCP ranges end at. GTHK
First half of the external IPA according to the router, and the logs I requested.
lchi
As my first post said, i'm running linux and thus can't run those programs. However, this has nothing to do with my bad connection.quote http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software:It works very well under Wine 0.9.16 (especially with µTorrent 1.6), but versions previous to 0.9.15 might have issues or not work at all. There are some minor bugs./quoteand yes. my external ip is 71.183.117.250 and thats what canyouseeme says.
