Zeriouz
I tried to put my friends ip in the peer list to let him download from me in super seed mode but I couldn´t add his ip ? What could be wrong and how to do it ? : /
Firon
Did you add the port too? if there's a lot of other clients in the swarm, it won't work. If he's the only peer in the swarm, super-seeding will NOT work.
Zeriouz
Well his ip is 213.186.255.151 so put like this ? 213.186.255.151:10000 (if his port is 10000)

Zeriouz
Yes there´s many (=thousands) I tried to add it like that but it wont show up in the peers list...
DreadWingKnight
Then you've probably reached your connection limit. The add peer function only adds the peer information to the cache, it doesn't force the connection

Zeriouz
Well then, where goes the line when you can or cannot add peer ??? By the way I copied the peer list from the torrent and pasted it to notepad. I found the ip of my friend (213.186.255.151:0), but it´s the only one with zero as a port number...An idea came into my mind... What if I posted the torrent file to some site and then my friend would use it somehow as an rss-feed would it work that way then anyhow ??An idea no.2 What if I somehow restricted other ip:s but this one from my friend from connecting me, would it help connect to him

Vectorferret
Why do you need your friend specifically connected to you on a torrent? He can download from anyone and not just you, and will probably get better speeds that way. If you want the best possible upload ot one person, it's not BitTorrent, use something like a tiny FTP server or DirectConnect if you want p2p. BitTorrent will not get a very good speed when trying to send to one person, it only works well with a swarm.
