  1. you have pref->general->check association at startup . May be an auto-check&set is in order...
  2. @us : this is a great update! My peers are very pleased with it...
  3. Although I agree with you, I must note that it was designed to better the community (improve total upload). Emule has a similar design... edit: An issue/question (with RSS) : in the RSS feed's edit box - why is there a "use smart ep filter" box at all ? it is in the favorite edit box too... isn't this a 'per-favorite' setting ? Also the count down feeds'-update timer that used to be on 1.7.7 is missing ... Can it be revived ? maybe into the status bar ?
  4. first time I see this: " the process cannot access the file because it is being used by anoter process" ... conditions are: * multi files torrect. state - stopped * 3 parts fully downloaded * rest are marked as "skip" * one of the 3 - is being played (.avi) and the player is open * now I try made the rest of the parts - "normal" (to be downloaded) * NOW I press "download" and get that message I think "reading" should be possible for the file being played (not sure ...) so it should be possible to both play a file and download the rest. If I start downloading and THEN open the same file with the player - all is OK...
  5. what did you look for and wasn't found ? ...
  6. I see. Thanks. That's it. I re-targeted the torrent... why don't I listen to you ... ... Anyways, path=name looks redundant to me. It should be always the path if you ask me (at least the relative path UNDER the default root).
  7. as a matter of fact - I did. *AFTER* my download job was started and one of the multi-files torrent was DLed, I've set the download path for this whole multi-files torrent to a different one (under the same root) and moved the files there . Nothing changed. Does it change for you ?
  8. I read, and didn't understand "absolute path" . I have this: "D:\Downloads\BitTorrent" defined in directories->put new DLs in. Looks to me pretty absolute... the end result is only the files names being shown (exactly as in the "name" column), and not even the relative ./path[/filename] I chose for this torrent under the above. Realy redundant info...
  9. info in the "name" and "path" columns in the files tab looks the same (in a single & multi-files torrents) . Is it as expected ? edit: A new column "# of done peaces" will be welcomed ...
  10. maybe just list two numbers - xxx(yyy) xxx - the real remaining , yyy - including the seeding goal. so that we can can understand at least 50% of the data...
  11. I have set uTorrent to NOT start download after a new torrent is added. Now, it seems that when a torrent is present in the RSS list, and you click it (to download) - it enters the "downloading" category (stopped state), and also shows now in the RSS view properly. BUT, when you do the same thing but opening this torrent's url, and "open" it in the browser - to enter it to uTorrent, it does go into the "downloading" list (as before, stopped) but for some reason - it does not show in the RSS list-view as stopped. but stays as an RSS release. Is there a way to properly identify it as already present on the system and revert from RSS release to the actual existing torrent ? hmmm.. when I think about it - it might be a bit complicated... I have to add that when I click that torrent in the RSS list AFTER it was opened externally, it identifies it and "adjusts" sometimes.
  12. - Fix: avoid duplicate connections with the same ID What did this cause and what does it effect now ?
  13. I have tried with 2 torrents, not many peers this time, still 300/450 connections limits - and still cannot get over ~230 total connections. increasing the limit to 400 - got me about 30 more... fyi
  14. case 1 - 200/450 case 2 - 300/450 @ 1 torrent both cases edit: I tried a second torrent with the same results: ~230 @ 300/450 limits . see attached ... PS: Will it be possible for you, guys, to make the statistics dialog dynamic, in way that the counters will while it's visible ?
  15. so maybe I'll try a newer/fresher torrent tonight ...
  16. well, @200 connections' limit - yes . It reaches this exactly after a while. But @ 300 limit - no. it cannot get over ~230 connections. The strange thing is - that I put 25 as my max half open (to try speed it up... I patched it to 100), BUT - the statistics shows 0 half open (!!!) when I reach 200+ . So , unless I miss something - it simply not TRYING to find new connections... probably got tired or something ... edit: (5000/3000 p/s)
  17. alus, can you elaborate on that please ?
  18. could this have something to do with my report here on problem reaching the maximum # of defined connections ? http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=358344#p358344
  19. what I was just saying that I find it puzzling that not even one distinct peer exists on DHT (and added to the total...)
  20. statistically - I expected to see at lease a few added to the tracker's reported numbers, but I've never seen that. May be you should add a column in the peer's lest showing it's "origin"...
  21. because I never saw the numbers in the () differ even by 1 from the numbers reported from the tracker(s). Just unlucky me ? ...
  22. shouldn't peers & seeds counters (in "(xxx)" ) include also peers from DHT ? It looks like in the current version - they don't ...
  23. I raised the same issue in previous posts... http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=359334#p359334
