    3.5.x Beta

This installer isn't overwriting my exe at AppData\Roaming\uTorrent, also I'm ticking add desktop icon and nothing gets added. This installer is whack. Uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the new.. finally wrote the exe and added icon.

    3.5.x Beta

Looks nice, laid out well.. It's my first time using an application like this for auto downloading so I got a lot to work out.. Only local drives are detected, my NAS drive doesn't show. Also setting up the directory for download is a bit weird, maybe make it so I can create a folder here? When I typed a folder name for creation it ended up saying it was unknown and didn't let me finish adding the show, so I went and created one via Explorer and clicked 'set default' not sure if this is required at first or what, just seems like things could be a bit clearer here. Anyway, won't comment any more about it here, need to experiment, cheers.

    3.5.x Beta

Where do you go to actually download the frickin binaries? Github is a maze of source code and commits various links all over the show and no god damn executables. NVM found it.. https://github.com/pymedusa/MedusaInstaller/releases Why's it so out of date compared to the actual releases though? I guess it's all back end stuff.. I'll give it a shot, cheers.

    3.5.x Beta

Beta judging from the text, but honestly with the tiny changes they're making it's basically stable and in no way deserves the beta moniker.

    3.5.x Beta

Not that I guess anyone would know.. but 44396 has been released as stable.. I still have issue with how they deal with version numbers.

    3.5.x Beta

Why does uTorrent show 13MB/s disk read/write when I only have two torrents active delivering on a dozen or so kb/s? I disabled caching of disk reads but no change, task manager is giving constant values of over 13MB/s while uTorrent dishes out KB/s even disabling the cache doesn't change anything. I'm also seeing this with 2.2.1 as well, although the disk rate is lower at about 8MB/s instead.

    3.5.x Beta

So.. uTorrent Web beta is out.. Here's hoping sites are open to approving this fresh start. It's still rather simple, but here's hoping it ends up having the same management abilities as the desktop client.

    3.5.x Beta

Have any changes been made to the code that prevent malware installing via flash exploit that was reported last year? A reply from a dev would be preferred.

    3.5.x Beta

They're working on the new client, feature wise I think this version is "done" Probably won't ever see anything beyond 3.5.x

    3.5.x Beta

You're not going to get those idiots to whitelist this or any other version of this utorrent client at all ever. They hate it and have zero interest in reviewing their nazi ass decision regarding it. There isn't anything that can be done to fix it, many have blocked it simply because of advert security concerns or that bundle drama. This is maybe in part why they've started developing a new client, you probably won't see this released this year, maybe next if Bittorrent inc gets it's shit together.

    3.5.x Beta

NEW CEO? MOAR FOCUS ON uTORRENT? HOLY SHIT. Plz fix the over 100% bug. Plz add extra features to the remote client so I don't have to remote in so much. Plz allow me to copy files not just move them Plz allow for automatic actions on torrent completion

    3.5.x Beta

Why do I keep getting an irrecoverable error permission denied line 10 in common.js? I have to delete the contents of the old installation directory before I can install, this isn't the first time I've had to do this now. I also had 360 Total Security throw up that FS.ocx and FS.dll are infected with PUA.fusioncore.ME.3 which is probably a false positive but I thought I'd post here anyway.
  13. Have you read nothing I've said above? Ads can be disabled, and the "social media bs" is two icons..so 2.2.1 is best why? for those reasons? There are many improvements in 3.4 Do what I said above (Beasly has wonderfully created a page dealing with just this) and give it a shot.
  14. Features are something you don't have to use and many of those reasons aren't actually good reasons. Ruined? How? Cept the RSS.. :3 my uTorrent 3.4.2 looks better than 2.2.1 and chances are the UI is faster too. Try the latest, turn off the ads in the prefs and give it a shot.. back up beforehand to be safe.
  15. Personally I find 3.4.x to have a clean UI.. also is anyone having disk I/O and caching issues now? I don't get asked to rate torrents and I don't have built in Anti-virus. As far as social features go, I have a Facebook icon.. I don't have ads either and haven't had any stability problems.
  16. And yet you asked anyway. You had all the tools and prior knowledge to answer your own question but you didn't. If that's not a failure in the truest sense of the word I don't know what is. Your language just highlights further your own frustration at not being able to answer the obvious. Congratulations.
  17. You can get rid of the ads in 3.4.2, just not the Facebook and Twitter icons, so instead of just "believing" things why don't you download it, run it and then know for certain? By doing so you could have saved yourself time not writing your pointless post and you could have saved me reading and replying to it. If you have a question, sometimes the easiest thing to do is to actually answer it yourself by doing the obvious.
  18. You should try other clients, qBittorrent or Deluge seem to be the most popular and supported.
  19. www.utorrent.com/downloads/win You guys should link the release notes link to actual release notes rather than just to the forum. 3.4.1 beta has been out for a bit now (30499) why hasn't anyone put out notes yet?
  20. Wow cool, I'll wait another 6 months for them to finalize 3.4.1, might finally have a stable client this year.
  21. No. Clicking them was also removing them' date=' and this was removed in the latest builds.[/quote'] Hmmm, it's the small things sometimes.. I'm not going to like seeing that there.
  22. Anyone wanna take bets on how many release candidate builds there are going to be?
  23. I know this happens every time but.. the changes that are being made in these updates are not the type of changes we should be seeing in release candidate builds.... This stuff should be fixed up in the beta stage aye. so' date=' 3 months ago...[/quote'] Oh Rafi.. I LOL'D. I'm fairly certain he's just talking generally. Like sure, it's stable enough to run without major issues.. but that doesn't really count as stable IMO and he's probably using something similar to my guidlines (forum posts, general experience). 3.2.3 is running 24/7 without any deal breaking issues, no memory leaks, crashes etc, 3.3.x just seems to be a mess that thankfully I'll avoid altogether. It just too many large changes that resulted in general whackiness and a major half year fixathon. It seems any "large" code changes seem to require near a full year of testing, the development process looks just that bad. Maybe just stick to .0.1 version increments every few months?
  24. Hey Rafi, could you please duplicate/note down the scrolling issue with the WebUI? Basically it jumps (skips torrents in the process) as you scroll down provided you have enough torrents for it to do so. I'm having to remote connect to the seedbox to avoid the issue.
