Ultima
Methinks you replied to my unedited post in that first line or two I realized I had incorrectly remembered the question you asked when I was replying (I thought you asked *who* I got such data/numbers from).I never tested it in Wine, no. Someone reported the problem to me on IRC, and I simply rebuilt the executable using the older compiler on a hunch, which turned out to work. Does v0.7.0.0 not work with Wine either? Or is it v0.6.1.0 only that's problematic?
Ultima
http://ultima.utorrent.googlepages.com/BEncodeEditorv0.7.0.0wip2.ziphttp://sites.google.com/site/ultimasites/files/bencode-editor.0700u_wip2.zip?attredirects=0Switched back to the new compiler for now (which partly explains the larger size). Implemented Ctrl+A stuff in dialogs for all input fields. Re-added commandline loading. And some other stuff. At this point, commandline options are looking less and less likely. martix
I got a question: What regex engine does BEncode use?

martix
I have the magic word - BUG REPORT! My torrent jobs are missing from BEncode. Its there in the resume.dat, they work in uT, but BEncode doesn't list them. And I absolutely can't move all those torrents by hand.So considering that a fix is bound to take quite a while, might as well be easier to point me to a description of the file format.P.S. Damnation to all hex editors - I have a few and none of them do regexes. Neither do any of the ones I found so far. Pls fix quick
Ultima
I can't fix a bug without seeing the problem file. Please provide me with the affected file. If you don't feel comfortable posting it here, contact me on IRC (and hope that I'm there at that moment) D:As for the format: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BencodeIn the end, it would still be better if you let me try and fix the bug. thelittlefire
... If they're listed in uT, the editor shows them. You're not looking at the right file.
moogly
Ultima, do you know why drag & drop a .torrent in BE 1.0 doesn't work (even if BE is open) ?In 0.6.1 that worked.
Ultima
No, not really, because uh... there is no v1.0. And I haven't changed drag-and-drop support for the longest time now.
moogly
Oh shit!!! I got the latest version but I thought the lastest was... the 0.1.0... LOLSorry ^^
niktarace
Hello. Is it possible to add a button to unroll all the [+] nodes (and of course to close them) ?This feature could be very useful to edit a multitracker/file torrent especially when the list is huge.Thx. thelittlefire
Num pad, * key... it's mentioned above in passing. It's some sort of listview default. Collapse all... reload the treeview. :/
Ultima
Indeed, mentioned on page 4 of this thread. It (node expansion using * on the number pad) is a Win32 treeview thing, and will allow you to expand the selected treeview node/subtree and any children of the node/subtree. squalito
HelloWhat a GREAT tool Well done, great job.(I have a seedbox, and it is really time/bandwidth consuming to dowload the files on my PC then create a new torrent based on same infos but with some files less. If I could just edit the existing torrent to remove the uncessery files it would be great !)If I delete one ITEM, does the hash will be recalculated based on remaining items ?If I delete an ITEM (in Info/Files), say the second one, do I have to change something else in the torrent to have it working (of course I also delete this file in my seedbox) ?Thanks for your answer
Ultima
Depends on what you remove. If you change anything in the info dictionary, then yes, the infohash will change. If you're planning on removing a file from the files list in the info dictionary... well, don't. That'll mess the entire torrent up, as the pieces key will no longer match the data correctly. squalito
yes it what I"ve seen :\Impossible to regenrate a piece key ?
Ultima
No, you'll have to recreate the entire torrent. You probably shouldn't be messing with BEncode Editor unless you understand the consequences of your changes.

shadow_cruiser
Great editor Ultima!!. I have one problem though I can't figure out.I have .torrent file I downloaded from another site and wanted to remove some of the contents and save it so I can upload it to another site. I obviously can't make a new torrent file because I'm using a seedbox. Anyways, upon deleting the files from root-->info--->files, I loaded the .torrent file and checking status stays at 0%. Anyone know why?
DreadWingKnight
Because you completely ruined the torrent by trying to remove files from it.If you're removing files from or adding files to a torrent, you have absolutely no choice except to re-make the torrent. Ultima
I guess you didn't read the warning in the first post carefully. This advanced utility isn't for everyone. You should use with caution, and use it only if you are 100% sure of the consequences behind your actions with it.
yourpcguy
once again this program is the bomb.can i put a download link on my torrent site signature?
Ultima
I don't see why not. Just make sure you don't link directly to the file (unless you mirror the file somewhere else, in which case that's up to you).
