Make a backup copy of the entire folder %appdata%\utorrent before updating to the alpha.

Good plan. I should do that anyway once in a while.

So it will 'update' the appdata folder ? And the Program Files folder too ?

Or does it get separate folders for both ?

Like %appdata%\utorrent3, and ProgramFiles/uTorrent3 or something.

Sorry i like to be sure.

%programfiles%\uTorrent contains only the current utorrent.exe, all torrent history and settings are stored in %appdata%\utorrent.

Of course, if you want to downgrade to your current version after having updated to the alpha, save utorrent.exe too.

Another solution is to test the alpha as standalone.

Umm' date=' what happened to the Log tab in 24023?

It's just gone? Last tab is now Speed.[/quote']

- Feature: enable/disable detail tabs via a right click context menu

Hmm, if that was changed 2 builds ago, I'm not sure why it gets unchecked now. Oh well, thanks for the heads up. :)

μt 3α uses a lot of ram on build 24023 when checking large files... at this point when I was checking, i downloaded ~15 MB out of 12 GB, and the ram shot up to using >3GB on Windows 7 on a 4GB ram card.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have this issue...

- Fix: Don't connect to ports < 1024 when no-connect-to-services is enabled (which it is by default)

- Change: add port 80 and 443 to the default port block list

Whyyyyyyyyyy. No problems blaming peoples computers and (crappy) software, but are you still accommodating this one aspect of crap firewall software?

I seem to have an issue with latest build 24023 and Web UI latest build (v0.380 WIP (2010-12-24)).

It has only started happening when Updating from previous uTorrent build (I already had the WebUI WIP version.

The issue is when deleting torrents from the webUI, when deleting multiple torrents at the same time the back end crashes out and error handling kicks in. I have used the send dump to developers option (24023-utorrent.f3ff.dmp). If I try to delete individual torrents there is no issue, only when selecting multiple torrents for deletion.

For reference, I can delete multiple torrents from the client instead of webui and this works without the crash.

Any thoughts?

Installed uMap app, tried to uninstall it.

When I press confirmation to uninstall, uTorrent crashes with the message:

"uTorrent has crashed. Unable to generate crash dump."

Even after uTorrent restart I can't uninstall app.
