artstate 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2013 new beta keeps having this popping up why?? (Build: 29944 and previous build)Because Infernet Exploder is not set as default browser and you have not turned ALL the advertising off.I have IE10 set as the default browser and I still get this pop up. Is this an ad? Doesn't seem to act like one.
rafi 185 Report post Posted July 23, 2013 Under some conditions, uTorrent displays web pages on the main view. In your case, I guess those conditions were meat... ("featured content" category?)
artstate 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2013 Hmm. Wasn't in the featured content category, I never go there. But I guess it's the way the ads are delivered and it's triggering that notice. When I get the pop up, there is no ad at the bottom left, the ad appears as soon as I close it or click OK. Rather annoying behavior, it's new on the latest version for me

(Build: 29944 and previous build)Exactly same problem here since I upgraded to the latest build 29944. Never had such a message, even once before in many years.I'm Under Windows 8 - 64bits - IE10And I got this message EACH TIME I click on the Windows of utorrent in the taskbar. I'm using a program, I want to go to utorrent, bahhhmmm, this pop up appears. However today, no problem. I didn't rebooted, didn't changed anything, but nothing for the moment. DaRoderick 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2013 In this beta, is the bug fixed on most recent versions where an upload limit doesn't work and just goes upload on full speed instead of the chosen limit?
artstate 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2013 What ad is that exactly? The ad on the bottom left corner is what I was talking about. Turns out it's the one causing the pop up, as mentioned in the thread linked by ciaobaby.Turning off the setting mentioned below fixed the issue. I didn't have to change anything else.offers.left_rail_offer_enabled = falseThanks

Turns out it's the one causing the pop up, as mentioned in the thread linked by ciaobaby.Turning off the setting mentioned below fixed the issue. I didn't have to change anything else.offers.left_rail_offer_enabled = falseThanksOkay, as I've read in your previous post:I have IE10 set as the default browser and I still get this pop up. Is this an ad? Doesn't seem to act like one.Is this ad in IE10, or somewhere in µTorrent? The reason why I ask is that the only ad I see in µTorrent on the bottom left hand side is the "Show Plus Information", and if this is what you are talking about, you can easily remove it by going to Options => Show Plus Information and uncheck it. Now if it's in IE10, that's a whole different story. It could just be the site your going to. You might look into getting Mozilla Firefox by going to [ins]http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/[/ins], download and install it. Then once you start using it, then go to [ins]https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/?src=ss[/ins] to download and install GreaseMonkey, just follow the promts, then go to and install the following user scripts:[ins]http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/145020[/ins][ins]http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/132940[/ins][ins]http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/89761[/ins]Then you might look into other ad/popup blockers in general, then you shouldn't see so many ads. Let me know if this helps.

Beasly 82 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 Crashes on every start using updated 30062 version. You would think that updating 3.3.2 once in a month you would test with a fine toothed comb... blstr 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 @Beasly: +1, same here. b30062 crashes right after every single start (after loading the complete list of torrents). Though it offers to choose another version to run, does nothing at all when clicking on this option...Edit: temporary reverted to latest 3.3.1 stable.
