peeer Posted August 3, 2014 Report Share Posted August 3, 2014 Well, it is fine with my settings (posted above).LoL I tested with the hosts file filter that fix the sidebar problem on and I set that lrecAdTypes (l) [1] value on 0 instead of 5 for that nice narrow sidebar one. Since that I block the "cdn.ap.bittorrent.com" address the value stay set on 0 and I always get that narrow sidebar when I start µtorrent. So I guess that means that culprit address is the problem. EDIT: Look my sidebar size lol, I wish it was always that size instead the default one since 3.x. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just make it dependent on the ad being not visible and we should be good to go. A fairly easy edit and one that'll no doubt users will like. Especially since that it is already an available option using that BEncode Editor hack I don't see why they couldn't let this lrecAdTypes accessible so we can at least use the option 0 without hacking it. Like making it an advanced parameter in preference for exemple. I tried using another value other than 0 or 5 but it makes it too small, almost like if it disapeared but it is fully customizable like it was on 2.x before. Only problem tho is that when you set the sidebar the exact size you want but smaller than what µtorrent usually permits you without using these values. As soon you restart µtorrent the sidebar loads back to look like it disapeared instead of loading to the size you previously set it. They would need to make so that when you restart µtorrent it can recover from the previous sizebar size past their standard size before exiting the program. Thats why I leave it on 0 right now as it is a better size fit for me and it don't resize each time I restart µtorrent. Well... it DOES resize on load of µtorrent, only from their standard size to this smaller size that the value 0 makes it, like you see on the image I uploaded. Even tested using my old settings.dat file that I couldn't fix the first time I found the address blocking work around and sidebar doesn't get wide. Actually it even loads the same small sidebar size from hack I found with BEncode Editor using value 0 instead of 5 with all settings.dat I tested on this new beta build so far, so its nice. Here on my place the page shows 32770 as the last one. And yes, I tried CTRL+F5 in my browser ...Me neither I can't see it on the release notes page. Your faith might be restored, but the sidebar is not saved & restored to it's previous position when set to within the first 1/2" right to the minimum size.
