Them people are fools then, as the ads in uTorrent can be disabled.

Anyone who pays money for a torrent client when there are other competing FREE clients available containing no Ads whatsoever needs their head examining.

They got the market share though..

Can't remove that green upgrade button and you won't ever be able to..

Think that's the end of it? Dum dum dummm

:)

What that little thing? It's hardly intrusive. I just hit F7 so hardly ever see it.

You can hit F7 AND F4 , and wouldn't see the orange button too. Not sure you can still use uT tho... :P

My Win7 system seems to be unaware of that determination... :(

We are talking of the latest 3.4.4 stable, right? Maybe you can post your settings? Or try using mine, see if it appears?

It first happened with 3.4.4.40733 beta:

http://forum.utorrent.com/topic/88339-34x-beta/page-93#entry509486

It was "fixed" shortly after and I've not seen it since (on Windows XP) either in beta or stable versions.

Your settings.dat works fine for me and there is no orange button showing.

2015-09-01: Version 3.4.6 Beta (build 41053)

- All fixes from the latest stable (40911) and beta (41035)

-- Improvements to Drag-n-Drop support for dynamic popups.

-- Fix crash at startup for some users on WinXP and Win7

http://utclient.utorrent.com/offers/beta_release_notes/release_notes.html

Looks  like the plan to increase the ..x ('tiny' version#) for betas is on... I'm not sure I like it, since it will be difficult to know what is a "stable" version now...

Maybe using X.Y.Zbn or X.Y.Z.n might be clearer

And with that new update holy crap is that "Upgrade uTorrent Pro" in the bottom left corner huge and horrendous. As now I can't drag the left bar to be "compact" like before. NOw it's huge due to that "Upgrade uTorrent Pro" box ><

Err and the top gap for Ads, oh man...

- - -

EDIT:
Seem the Advanced option of "offers.left_rail_offer_enabled" got reset... thing is.. even when you toggle to "false" it gets reset upon restart.

Seems fixed now (except for ctrl->shift->F2->pref.->advanced-> offers.upgrade_toolbar = *true - the orange upgrade button) ...

-- 2015-09-04: Version 3.4.6 Beta (build 41079)

- Fix bug where some advanced settings would not persist across restarts.

- Improvements to the Windows installer.

- Remove unused GUI icons

- Reliability improvements to DHT CAS handling.

Start with 3.4.6.41122 installation....need 2 minutes to start.

Finished and until now didn't pick up......

Why installation take a long time....almost a month or more ago?

Win7 x64 or Win10 x64...same.

Well, I'd say that down from a month to two minutes is nice progress... There is the troubleshooting section for that...
