Switeck
"utorrent-2.2.1-beta-beta-23274.upx.exe"So it's a double-beta? Is that a pseudo-alpha or something? The PEX message flood error still occurs in this?
rafi
>The PEX message ...Why don't you try it out, see for yourself... It's probably a beta² release... Packets' size seems to be higher - 1480B again with the new PMTUD... It'll probably decrease the overhead just a bit... Lot's of retries tho... and connect attempts are too many for my poor 4 slots' setting
Jeroenz0r
Nice, auto-update got it for me so I'm ready to report (hope not too much) bugs Just noticed: Removing (blanking out) webseeds will put in my log;[2010-11-20 04:15:33] some.nice.torrent.zip: HTTP invalid URL: So It's just telling me that 'nothing' is not a valid HTTP URL, even when seeding!Edit 2: Why does µTorrent keeps banning himself? (when I do a 'reset bans' It will keeps printing; )[2010-11-20 04:19:09] Unbanned 192.168.1.112:62537[2010-11-20 04:19:18] Unbanned 192.168.1.112:62537

Jeroenz0r
Wow, I reported that blanking out thing I've no idea how long ago.Still not fixed :/Were you planning on downloading from yourself exactly what you have? Why use the regular banlist for it then? (and not a µT-global block/blacklist)~Found some weird uploading habit(Bursts of upload)One of those burstsI was uploading towards a µT 2.0.
rafi
I can confirm very weird upload (I almost never saw my 6 slots active. maybe just 2-4 )
rafi
PMTUD issue ? -->Lowering the NIC MTU to 1400 causes upload speed to drastically decrease... It feels like with uTP 2.04 peers are not being connected to, while a few 2.2 peers are... @Arvid ?...
Jeroenz0r
The weird uploading did not happen when I was uploading towards two Bittorrent 7.1 users.

Bjurran
I'm not sure if this is related to this new update or what is causing this, but I'm noticing that many of the connections are not being closed properly causing the network connection on the client running µT to stall.running XP Pro, with peerblock and ESET Nod.Running netstat -a shows a whole bunch of connections with status TIME_WAITclosing µT for a while and restarting it fixes the issue for a short time, but the same problem comes back after a short while.I've set µT to max 100 connections (not sure how many I can have), but when this happens I can barely open up google in a browser on a 100/10 MBit connection. Simbiat
Well, I've noticed that it eats up to 40% of CPU when at least one torrent is being downloaded on Win7 and reacts veeeeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyyyy slowly to user interactions in this state.. It was on 23271 build and 23274 build.
Simbiat
BTW 23274 is not avaliable through auto-update.

Zarggg
@Bjurran: Have you referenced the chart in http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404 relative to measured upload rate? That might be the first step to look at.
Jeroenz0r
"Use fine grained file priorities" - What is it?It's a feature in the files tab, you can then use 15 (high) till 1 (low) to select the files that will be requested before the others. Bjurran
@Bjurran: Have you referenced the chart in http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404 relative to measured upload rate? That might be the first step to look at.Thanks, but I'm using approx 1/3 of what I should have according to that chart. (I need to make sure I have bandwidth available to my servers)Also, I would not suggest that anyone here in my area would try to use 500 connections as suggested in that chart, it just wont work.
