rafi
what are your test results on speedtest.net and to what value did you adjust the upload limit in uTorrent ?
khristopher
I don't need to do that. I've done it a while ago, and my speeds remain the same. I have my upload limit set to 50 kB/s, and I get a max of 80 kB/s.My download limit is set to 350 kB/s, and I get a max of 500 kB/s.Also, uTorrent is not obeying the download limit. It is currently downloading at 450 kB/s with the speed limit set at my usual 350 kB/s.
ImSeeingStars
Hi!Long time client of your client Just wanted to drop in and say a big thank you for the priority function in this release. It's not like choosing one file to download and skipping the rest but it gets the job done almost in the same manner. No need to have my attention anymore on prioritizing multiple files after each one has finished downloading. If the torrent is made the right way and the order of the files is correct(read:desired) then, the evolved* "prioritize by file order" is simply spot on.Perhaps now an added function to that, would be to have the ability to change the order of the files, inside a torrent, manually and not just through the the use of column sorting. Like you do with individual torrents, move up, move down, etc. But that would be the ideal scenario and i don't really know if other people would find it as useful as i would! So once again thanks to the whole team!*edit:btw, not certain if it was present on another version or not but, i just found out about it on 25130
santanderfilm
since this new version sometimes 100% complete downloads still have some files with .!ut extension. after a Force Re-Check the extensions are renamed to what they are supposed to be, with no additional download to complete the download (except once which 100% became about 90%). khristopher
Went back to 2.2, and all is working great. So, there is definitely some change in 2.2.1 that is messed up. Even my upload speeds are properly maxing out like they used to at 50 kB/s, as I have a ton of torrents running.

a377661
uTorrent 2.2.1 dose not start with very large ipfilter.dat, about 550000 lines and 550000 IPs, and only eats up CPU usage.Old uTorrent 2.2 starts in few seconds.
iycgtptyarvg
Every once in a while I get the message: Cannot find the specified file. Then the torrent gets a big red cross in front of it. A force recheck seems to fix it so far, but I'm afraid of losing data.

osm0sis
Really it shouldn't handle it at all. ipfilter in reality adds no security to your torrenting experience.

moogly
You using lists of 100Ks+ of IPs is just crazy... Yeah, I know. My current homemade ipfilter.dat is really lighter, but I don't know why µT loaded this huge ipfilter. Surely because my µT profil is a real mess, many old ipfilters, mixed with files for beta testing. I need to clean it up. Anyway there is an issue with ipfilter, time starting and CPU use are higher than with previous 2.2 versions.-- 2010-12-17: Version 2.2.1 beta (build 23858)- Fix: bug with empty ipfilter.dat-- 2010-12-17: Version 2.2.1 beta (build 23832)- Fix: fixed IP filter bug where overlapping ranges would not be handled properlyMaybe a regression in these 2 fixes. Firon
The ipfilter function is probably a bit slower now because it was doing something broken but fast, and is now behaving correctly, but at a bit of a speed cost.
rafi
Either that, or maybe it's because of a new bug, or poor implementation... Better to check it up than to guess...
