µTorrent 3.0 (32-bit) Stable Release

3 bugs.

I have a torrent with many wallpapers in it. They are divided among 3 folders, let's say 1920x1080, 1280x1024, 1024x768. In each folder files are named like 000000.jpg. The amount of files is very big, so I decided to divide files to subfolders named 00, 01, 02, etc. I created these subfolders in each folder, in "Files" tab selected some files, selected "Relocate" from context menu and assigned them a subfolder named 1920x1080\01. Here the bugs appear: (1) the names of the relocated files in the "Path" column became like 1920x1080\01\wallpapers\000001.jpg (except for the first file, which was partially loaded and it's name remained 1920x1080\000000.jpg), although it should be 1920x1080\01\000001.jpg, and (2) the state of the torrent became "Error: failed to relocate file 1920x1080\000000.jpg: System cannot find selected path". (3) Button "Start" on toolbar remained disabled, and buttons "Pause" and "Stop" remained enabled, although their state shoul be opposite for torrents in error state.

For the (2nd) bug I can also say, that partially or fully loaded files cannot be relocated at all (in previous versions it worked), and the torrent falls into error state.

When there are very much files in torrent and "Files" tab is selected, uTorrent eats too much processor time, while all torrents are stopped and no rehashes occur.

What is this for and why? :

[2011-06-26 00:14:31] UPnP(XP): Removed TCP port 0

The upnp is totally useless in utorrent3 if it's remove all upnp mapped tcp port from the router. Why is it necessary? Please remove this shit.

Thanks.

What exactly do you see wrong in my above uPnP operation ? Is it possible that your shitty router does not comply with the standard ?...

The upnp is working, but when the utorrent starts, "UPnP(XP): Removed TCP port 0" line appeared in the log (just once at start). But in your log the upnp related lines starts with "UPnP" for me "UPnP(XP)". What is the different? I'm using windows 7 (x64)

This is one difference .. I am on XP/sp2.

Also your settings can be different (like you defining port 0 in connection... :P)

I guess the devs should solve this riddle...

What is this in the log?
[2011-06-25 13:15:46] -------------- Let the install BEGIN! -------------

[2011-06-25 13:15:46] V8 bundle: Failed to get bundle offset

tnx

Interesting... maybe the toolbar related "bundle" ? ... :P

What do you mean? I don't understand.

upnp was working with v2.2 but with 3.0 i got an error :

[2011-06-26 14:11:03] UPnP: ERROR mapping TCP port 28088 -> 192.168.1.65:28088. Deleting mapping and trying again: (401) Unknown result code (UPnP protocol violation?)

My modem is speedtouch 585v6 and i am using win7 64 bits

In good English: Maybe the "bundle" message is related to the toolbar. :P

And if so' date=' it is a good thing that it fails :P:P[/quote']

I understood the rafi's sentence but what is a V8 bundle?

Why do you think is related to the toolbar?

Why have I this message every time I run uT?

Why is it a good thing? It don't looks so.

thanks

PS: sorry for my bad English.

I understood the rafi's sentence...

Thank you, next time I'll try phrase a bit better for Moogly's sake... :P

Too many questions, zdnko , and only the devs can answer. Our *speculation* (== guess) was that it is some kind of installer issue, that has to do with it's installation of the crappy Conduit tool-bar. But we can all be mistaken as well ;)

Any why does it bother you ? anything (important...) not working as it should ?

Ok, thanks for the answer.

All works well. Only a unusual message in the log, I'm just curious.

Hey all. I just installed the new version of utorrent.. i was wondering allot of time and i install it.. here what i notice and "must say" :). Its cool ok ......but i miss the arrows :(http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/90/utorrentarrow.png/ <-- please bring them back.. second the color of the finished torrent is near to the color of the seeding torrent.. its confusing green .. im an artist.. think about i suggest you -> http://www.sustland.umn.edu/design/images/colortechniques1.jpg . Color named Purple secondary or violet secondary.. for the finished torrent (stoped torrent) it is soft like the green and the blue when downloading.. I turn off the "category list" in view options.. allot of people do it.. thats why im saying about the arrows. Thay was awesome and so simple :). green arrow for downl and blue for upl.. now you can make it different :) it will be awesome.. some new arrow design :) soft and simple. People like the simple interface do they?.. oh i almost forgot the comment system i like it allot :P. and the stream option. Thanks the program works fine 3-4 hours after i install the new ver.. im glad that im using utorrent ;). and keep working cheers :D  .

i miss the arrows

I asked this but was ignored by the clique

Why they're hidden by default in uTorrent 3 is a mystery!

Anyway, I figured it out myself how to display them.

Under Options>Preferences, click on the word Advanced. Scroll down advanced options list on the right until you get to gui.show_status_icon_in_dl_list.

Change the value to True, then click OK.

Hope that helps :)

many trackers have banned the new utorrent 3.0 build 25406 stable version, why it's there a problem with this version ?????

Have the sites actually blacklisted (banned) uTorrent 3.0, or is it just that they haven't updated their whitelists to allow that build of uTorrent yet? There's a difference...

If they've explicitly blacklisted uTorrent, the best place to find out why would be on the torrent sites: some sites that use blacklists include the reason a client is blacklisted as part of its entry on the list. Or they may have posted an announcement or forum comment explaining the issue.

If the sites are just slow updating their whitelists, patience is usually best: give them time to add the new version. If it seems to be taking an unusual amount of time, check the forums or announcements to see if they've posted an explanation, and maybe post asking what the holdup is.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Which trackers have banned utorrent 3.0? I would like to know before I upgrade...

Your best bet is to check the sites you use to see whether or not they allow uTorrent 3.0 yet. To me, it's more likely a problem with slow updating of whitelists than sites actually banning the new version.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Slow updating of whilelists on tracker sites is one reason I usually wait a while before updating to new releases of uTorrent; it's a pain to update and then discover that half my torrents are dead because the trackers won't accept my client.

(The other reason I usually wait to upgrade is to let the the rest of you do the beta testing of the 'final release versions'...)

From the 3.0 alpha thread:

- Change: leave ETA column blank for torrents with no significant seeding goal

Why the change? I sort by ETA and now my seeding torrents are scattered instead of at the top. I could sort by last active, but I like to have my downloading torrents sorted by ETA so I easily can see which ones will finish soon. I really do not want to manually set seeding goals for all my torrents just so they're at the top.

I need the old ETA functionality too.

Please go back (as option can be fine too).

thanks
